If you ask any person who has taken photography as a sincere passion, they will state that the Film vs. Digital conflict didn't begin with this specific article that Autumn Lockwood has written. Many think digital is not the traditional way of expressing images to the world; others tend to criticize the expensive prices of maintaining supplies for the film. Digital SLRs might have decrease in the outrageous price tag, but if you want extra equipment and a variety of particular lens, that will definitely steal money from that bank account of yours. On the other hand, film photography has been cherished by many around the world, and is known as the original way of processing photographs. I've been blessed because I have had the opportunity to experiment with both medias during school and other events outside. And I firmly agree that both are equal in my hobby of snapping moments. Which do you think is a better, more dramatic media? Film or Digital?

Nice job with your citation. I would like to see more analysis of the resource. For example, provide quotes and discussion.
ReplyDeleteAlthough film photography is probably more expensive than digital photography, I think that it is definitely more dramatic and it puts the point across more effectively because in films, one can actually see the changing expressions and the things that people say as opposed to photographs, where one an only see a person's physical expressions in one exact moment.
ReplyDeleteTo Allan N, I can not say I disagree with your argument, but there are also new, improved techniques with digital that can produce a picture with a similar emotion as film would. It is a very tricky topic for me indeed.
